Shane Clanton runner-up in Volunteer 50 prelim at Volunteer Speedway
Shane Clanton found himself in action at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) over the weekend for the $50,050-to-win Volunteer 50.
Locking into the first feature with the fourth-quickest qualifying lap in his group, Clanton started the $5,050-to-win prelim feature from the second-row and moved passed two competitors to earn a runner-up finish behind Dale McDowell.
Starting third in the 100-lap main event on Saturday, Shane was running inside the top three when a terminal issue on his car ended the night early.
