Shane Clanton closes out World of Outlaws season at Charlotte
To close out the 2023 season on the World of Outlaws Case Late Model tour, Shane Clanton visited The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) for the first night of the extended World Finals weekend.
On qualifying night, Clanton timed in seventh-quickest for Thursday's group and stopped the clock ninth-fastest in his Friday group.
Making his first competitive laps on Thursday, Shane finished runner-up in his heat race before fading in the 35-lap feature to finish 15th.
For another $15,000-to-win show on Friday, Clanton finished outside of the Top-20 in 22nd after another 35-laps.
With Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale on tap, Clanton took a provisional starting spot for the 50-lap main event and made up six positions to finish 21st.
Clanton wound up with an 11th-place finish in the WoO standings.
