Clanton follows Outlaws to Davenport Speedway for Quad Cities 150
Following the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series to Davenport (Iowa) Speedway on Thursday afternoon, Shane Clanton joined the series for the My Place Hotels Quad Cities 150.
Among 35 Late Models in the pit area, Clanton stormed forward in his heat race to grab the victory which earned him a front-row starting spot. Leading a few laps in the early stages of the $10,000-to-win feature, Shane faded to finish 11th.
For another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature on Friday evening, Shane topped the charts in his qualifying group and was once again victorious in his heat race. Rolling off from the second row, Clanton ran as high as second before winding up in the fifth-position when the checkered flag flew.
With a $30,000 payday on the line for Saturday's finale, Clanton started the main event from the fourth row and completed all 80-laps to record a 14th-place finish.
Shane is currently 10th in World of Outlaws points.
