Shane Clanton attends Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury Speedway
Staying out in the Midwest, Shane Clanton trekked to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Friday afternoon for the 33rd-running of the Prairie Dirt Classic with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series.
Among a whopping 63 entries on site, Clanton qualified a solid seventh-fastest in his group which put him starting fourth in the third $5,000-to-win preliminary feature. Shane ran in the third position before fading late to finish two spots out of a transfer position in sixth.
For Saturday's $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic, Shane was unable to transfer through his Last Chance Showdown and was forced to take a provisional starting position. In the 100-lap showdown, Clanton recorded a 17th-place outing.
Shane is currently 10th in World of Outlaws points.
