Shane Clanton
10th-place finish in Lucas Oil visit at Hagerstown
After Mother Nature axed Friday’s Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W.V.), Skyline Motorsports pilot Shane Clanton returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) for the Conococheague 50. After missing a transfer spot by one position in his heat race, Clanton secured his spot into the $15,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his B-Main. On Sunday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the River Valley 40, Shane grabbed the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat, which positioned him 14th on the starting gird for the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Clanton improved three spots in the 40-lap affair to place 11th.
Shane is currently 10th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
