Clanton notches Top-5 finish at Bubba Raceway Park

Monday night saw Skyline Motorsports pilot Shane Clanton return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) for the K&N Filters Winternationals doubleheader. After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Shane ran as high as third in the feature but dropped late in the 40-lapper, crossing the line in 18th.

On Tuesday, Clanton topped his time trial group in qualifying with a 14.211-second lap before dashing to an eight-lap heat race victory. Rolling off on the pole for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Shane surrendered four spots to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Devin Moran, Tyler Erb, Ricky Thornton Jr., and Brandon Sheppard to the checkers.
