Clanton charges to Top-10 finish at Atomic

Shane Clanton returned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the Indiana Icebreaker. Following the 14th fastest time in his qualifying group, Clanton passed five cars in his heat race to register a third place finish. After three violent wrecks in four heat races, LOLMDS officials made the decision to postpone the remainder of the evening to May 2nd.

On Sunday afternoon at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the Buckeye Spring 50, Shane secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a fifth place finish in his heat race. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Clanton gained nine spots in the 50-lapper to place ninth.
