Illini 100 brings Shane Clanton to Land of Lincoln

Following the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to the Land of Lincoln, Shane Clanton was one of 46 Late Models entered at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) for the two-day Illini 100. Grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race, Clanton locked into the 15th-starting position for the preliminary feature. On Saturday evening, Shane came in fourth in his heat race, which positioned him 13th on the starting grid for the $20,000-to-win Illini 100. Running into trouble early in the 75-lapper, Clanton was the second retiree of the race on lap 24.
