Pair of Top-10 finish in LOLMDS doubleheader

On Friday night Skyline Motorsports pilot Shane Clanton was one of 25 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) for the 15th annual John Bradshaw Memorial. Gaining one spot in his heat race, Clanton posted a fourth-place finish, which pinned him on the sixth row for the opening night feature. With $12,000 on the line, Shane passed seven cars in the 50-lapper to place fifth, trailing Jonathan Davenport, Tim McCreadie, Mike Marlar, and Hudson O’Neal to the checkers. (Heath Lawson photo)

The following night at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) for the Ralph Latham Memorial, Shane timed in fourth fastest in his group before placing second in his heat behind Josh Richards. Starting the $15,000-to-win A-Main in seventh, Clanton lost one spot in the 60-lapper to finish eighth.

Shane is currently fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
