10th-place finish in PDC prelim at FALS

Shane Clanton hopped on tour with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on Friday by visiting the famed Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 31st annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. With the massive 74-car field split into two groups for time trials, Clanton’s 18th fastest qualifying effort pinned him ninth on the starting grid for his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature. Locking the Top 4 finishers into Saturday night’s main event, Shane logged a 10th-place finish.

Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic, Shane was an early retiree from the 20-lap consolation event on the 10th circuit.
