Shane Clanton follows LOLMDS to Georgia

With Friday’s event at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) rained out, Shane Clanton followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday for the Dixie Shootout. Following a sixth-place finish in his heat, Shane secured his spot into the $15,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his B-Main. On Sunday afternoon at Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.) for the Rome Showdown, Clanton’s sixth-place finish in his heat race pinned him 16th on the starting grid for the finale. With $10,000 on the line, Shane held his spot to finish 16th.

Shane is currently ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
