LOLMDS doubleheader brings Clanton to Brownstown

On Friday night the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) brought Shane Clanton and 58 competitors to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the Jackson 100 weekend. After laying down the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group, Clanton edged his way into the opening night feature with the third and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, Shane jumped up two spots in the 40-lapper to record a 15th place outing.

In a field of 60 cars on Saturday afternoon, Shane logged a fourth place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main. Coming in second behind Scott James, Clanton locked into the 22nd-starting position for the $15,000-to-win Jackson 100.
