1May 27, 2020 - Shane Clanton followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) on Monday afternoon to close out the final three rounds of the Reopening Tour. With 35 cars on hand for the Geico East Bay Nationals, Clanton laid down the fastest time in his qualifying group before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Clanton set the pace early but a battle brewing for the lead on lap 12 with Brandon Overton closed the distance on the rest of the field. 1On Tuesday afternoon, Shane scored a second place finish in his heat behind Brandon Overton, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the A-Main.  Improving one spot in the 40-lap affair, Clanton notched a fourth place finish behind Brandon Overton, Jonathan Davenport, and Jimmy Owens with Kyle Bronson coming in fifth.

Wrapping up the Geico East Bay Nationals on Wednesday evening, Clanton followed up the sixth fastest lap in his time trial group with a second place finish in his heat behind Tyler Erb. Starting the $7,000-to-win finale in seventh, Shane was involved in a tangle on the initial start that realigned the field. Unable to gain any momentum for the remainder of the 40-lapper, Clanton fell back to a 14th place outing.

1May 23, 2020 - On Tuesday evening Shane Clanton made the trip to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) piloting the Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Late Model for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Reopening Tour. Drawing 43 cars for the Optima Batteries Golden Isles Nationals, Clanton followed up the seventh fastest time in his qualifying group with a third place finish in his heat. 1The following night in a field of 39 cars, Shane posted a second place finish in his heat behind Devin Moran, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the $7,000-to-win A-Main. With four cautions slowing the 40-lap affair, Clanton advanced forward two spots to place fourth behind Kyle Bronson, Tyler Erb, and Jimmy Owens with Tim McCreadie coming in fifth.

For the third and final round of the Optima Batteries Golden Isles Nationals on Thursday evening, Clanton fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish. Streaking to a 10-lap consolation victory, Shane locked into the 18th-starting position for the $7,000-to-win finale. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Shane Clanton improved ten spots to come home ninth.

1On Saturday afternoon Clanton stopped at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) for the inaugural Gene Maine Memorial. 1May 7, 2020 - Shane Clanton returned behind the wheel of his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Late Model entry on Thursday evening at Senoia (GA) Raceway for the DirtonDirt.com Shootout. With the top six qualifiers getting locked into the Dash, Clanton secured the pole position with the fastest time overall. After the pair exchanged sliders late, Shane scored a runner-up finish behind Michael Page. Starting the $4,000-to-win A-Main in second, Page shot out to an early race lead but a caution on lap 24 realigned the field. Unable to gain any momentum, Clanton scored a second place finish behind Michael Page with Kyle Bronson, Brandon Overton, and Dalton Cook rounding out the Top-5.
