June 27, 2020 - Friday night saw Shane Clanton return with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Tennessee’s Action Track 50. Drawing 38 cars, Clanton followed up the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in fourth, Shane held his spot for all 50-laps to place fourth behind Jimmy Owens, Cory Hedgecock, and Jonathan Davenport with Shanon Buckingham coming in fifth. The following night at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the EZ-Go 50, Shane slipped back to a ninth place outing in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place third or better, Clanton was granted a provisional into the main event. With $12,000 on the line, Shane Clanton was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on the third lap.

Clanton drove his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Bennett Explosives/ Super K Express/ Capital Race Cars/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event.
“We had a good weekend. We have worked awful hard the last two weeks on the car, and it shows. We’re getting better. To come here and run good feels good. Every time you run good like this; it helps the morale of the team. We are not giving up. If it weren’t for Greg and Tyler Bruening, I probably couldn’t be here.”
Kicking off the three-day event on Thursday, in a stout field of 55 cars, Clanton recorded the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group before streaking to a 10-lap heat race victory. Advancing forward one spot in the 25-lap preliminary feature, Shane notched a fourth-place finish behind Bobby Pierce, Jimmy Owens, and Ross Bailes with Tyler Erb coming in fifth.
On Friday afternoon for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Clanton followed up the 10th fastest lap in his time trial group with a second-place finish in his heat behind Tyler Erb. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish in the feature, Shane passed two cars to register a sixth-place finish.
With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday setting the grid for the $15,000-to-win Clash at the Mag finale on Saturday, Clanton locked into the fifth-starting position. After taking the lead early in the 100-lapper for a handful of laps, Shane challenged Jimmy Owens for the top spot in the closing laps but came up short, scoring him second on the rundown behind Owens with Josh Richards, Bobby Pierce, and Tyler Erb rounding out the Top-5.

June 13, 2020 - On Friday night Shane Clanton visited Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the 22nd annual Grassy Smith Memorial. Drawing 37 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Shane secured his spot into the opening night feature with a third place finish in his heat. Coming shy of a Top-10 finish in the 50-lap affair, Clanton slipped back to a 20th place outing.
For the second round of the LOLMDS doubleheader, Clanton headed to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Saturday for the Mountain Moonshine Classic. Failing to obtain a transfer spot in both his heat and B-Main, Shane was granted a provisional into the $15,000-to-win finale. June 6, 2020 - Shane Clanton was one of 48 Late Models invited to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon for the Dirt Late Model Stream Invitational. Following the seventh fastest time in his qualifying group, Clanton stormed to a 10-lap heat race victory, which positioned him third on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature. After polesitter Kyle Strickler jumped out to a commanding lead early, Shane began closing the distance on Strickler late in the lapped-traffic but was unable to take over the top spot, marking him second on the rundown behind Strickler with Brandon Sheppard, Ricky Thornton Jr., Bobby Pierce rounding out the Top-5. The following night for another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Shane held his spot for all 10-laps of his heat race to place seventh. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main, Clanton fell short of a transfer position with a seventh place outing.
On Saturday evening with preliminary points determining the starting grid for heat races, Clanton rolled off fourth in his heat race. Sending the Top 4 into the $50,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Stream Invitational, Shane got collected with another competitor in turn four on the first lap that forced him pit-side. With severe damage to his nose, Clanton elected to sit out the remainder of the evening.
