February 16, 2019 - Monday night saw Shane Clanton return to action at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) for the 48th annual DIRTcar Nationals. In a field of 42 Super Late Models, Clanton registered the third fastest time in his qualifying group before coming in 3rd in his heat. With Mother Nature raining out Tuesday’s program, Clanton was one of 44 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries signed in on Wednesday. Gaining one spot in his heat, Shane recorded a 3rd place finish locking him into the 11th-starting position for the feature. Passing two cars in the 50-lap affair, Shane Clanton posted a 9th place finish.
The following night, Shane laid down the fastest time overall in a field of 52 cars before charging to a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting on the pole for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Clanton went with too soft of tires before the start of the 50-lapper dropping him back to 9th place finish.
For the fifth round on Friday, Clanton started the night off with a heat race win positioning him 5th on the starting grid for the main event. With $10,000 on the line, Shane slipped up four spots to place 9th.
Wrapping up the 48th annual DIRTcar Nationals on Saturday, Shane came in fourth fastest in his qualifying group before placing 2nd in his heat behind Dennis Erb Jr. Earning the 5th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale, Clanton gained two spots reeling in a 3rd place finish behind Brandon Sheppard and Chris Madden with Dennis Erb Jr. and Scott Bloomquist completing the Top-5 finishers.

February 9, 2019 - Kicking off the 2019 season, Shane Clanton was one of 39 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries signed in at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Friday night for the Winter Freeze IX. Timing in second fastest overall in his qualifying group behind Brandon Sheppard, Clanton went on to place 3rd in his heat race positioning him 12th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. Improving five spots in the 50-lapper, Shane reeled in a 7th place finish.
Returning on Saturday evening, Clanton followed up the second fastest time in his group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the A-Main, Shane jumped into the lead on the drop of the green flag and led wire-to-wire en route to his first victory of the season over Kyle Hardy, Chase Junghans, Brandon Sheppard, and Michael Norris.
