1September 30, 2018 - Shane Clanton returned with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on Friday night at Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) for the two-day Outlaw Invasion. In a field of 35 cars, Clanton locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Chris Madden. Starting in 5th, Shane made hard contact with the wall on lap-4 that brought an early end to his night.

Returning on Saturday night, Clanton recorded a 3rd place finish in his heat positioning him 11th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Losing one spot in the 50-lap affair, Shane registered a 12th place outing.

1On Sunday night Clanton stopped at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Rome Showdown. Coming in 2nd in his heat behind Earl Pearson Jr., Shane earned the 5th-starting position for the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Shane Clanton dropped back to a 14th place outing after drawing a caution on lap-8.

1September 23, 2018 - With Mother Nature shifting Friday’s program to Sunday, Shane Clanton was one of 35 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries signed in at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night for the Late Model National Open. Following the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Mike Marlar, Clanton scored a 10-lap heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Shane suffered a flat left front-tire on lap 16 that dropped him back to a 12th place outing.

1On Sunday at Outlaw Speedway (Dundee, New York), Shane registered the fastest time overall in a field of 23 cars before cruising to heat win. Starting the feature in 2nd, Clanton dropped two spots in the 50-lap affair registering a 4th place finish behind Brandon Sheppard, Devin Moran, and Mike Marlar with Tyler Erb coming in 5th. 1September 15, 2018 - On Thursday evening Shane Clanton made the trek to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the 15th annual Knoxville Nationals. Drawing 57 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the three-day event, Clanton registered the fifth fastest time in his qualifying before placing 2nd in his heat behind Brian Birkhofer. Earning the 6th-starting position for the opening night feature, Shane slipped back to a 16th place outing in the 25-lap affair.

1The following night for another $7,000-to-win preliminary feature, Shane held his spot in his heat race to place 5th. Transferring into the B-Main, Clanton grabbed the 6th and final transfer spot positioning him 24th on the starting grid for the show. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Shane Clanton was battling for a podium finish when he got collected with the wall damaging his front-end. He salvaged a 16th place outing in the 25-lapper. On Saturday night with his spot already locked into the $40,000-to-win finale, Shane dropped back to a 24th place outing after bringing out a caution on lap-56.

1September 6, 2018 - Shane Clanton was one of 101 Super Late Models on hand at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday evening for the 48th annual World 100. With steady rain pushing back the event several hours, Shane grabbed the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race positioning him 18th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature. Holding his spot for all 25-laps, Clanton posted an 18th place outing.

Friday and Saturday's program was postponed by Mother Nature to October 12th and 13th.

1September 1, 2018 - Saturday night found Shane Clanton in action at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Labor Day Special. Battling for a $3,000 payday in the A-Main, Shane was an early retiree from the 30-lapper on the opening circuit.
