November 3, 2018 - Shane Clanton made the trek to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Thursday night kicking off the 12th annual World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series World Finals. With 76 cars on hand for a round of qualifying, Shane laid down the fastest time overall in qualifying positioning him on the pole of his heat race on Friday.
Charging to a 10-lap heat victory, Clanton earned the pole position for the feature that was postponed by curfew until Saturday. With $12,000 on the line, Shane slipped back to an 18th place outing in the 50-lap affair. (Zach Yost photo)
Returning on Saturday night, Clanton fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 4th place finish. Starting on the pole of his B-Main, Shane picked up a 10-lap consolation victory locking him into the 21st-starting position for the $12,000-to-win finale. Gaining seven spots in the 50-lapper, Shane Clanton registered a 14th place finish.
