1The following night at Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri), Clanton held his spot in his heat race to place 3rd. Earning the 11th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win finale, Shane held his spot for all 50-laps registering a 11th place finish.

1June 23, 2018 - Shane Clanton invaded Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) on Thursday night competing in a field of 41 cars for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned Firecracker 100. Following the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Mike Marlar, Clanton captured a 10-lap heat race victory locking him into the 4th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $6,000 on the line, Shane was running in 4th on the lap-23 when a broken axle ended his night immediately.

On Friday night for another $6,000-to-win preliminary feature, Clanton secured his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Mike Marlar. Rolling off 7th, Shane dropped one position in the 30-lapper logging an 8th place finish.

1Closing out the 12th annual Firecracker 100 on Saturday evening, Clanton dropped back to a 5th place finish in his heat after slipping over the backstretch lip on the third lap. 1June 16, 2018 - On Thursday night Shane Clanton followed the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series to Stateline Speedway (Busti, New York) for the $10,000 top prize. 1On Friday night at Ransomville Speedway (Ransomville, New York), Shane held his spot in his heat race logging a 4th place finish. Rolling off 11th for the main event, Clanton passed seven cars to place 4th behind Mike Marlar, Brandon Sheppard, and Chase Junghans with Chris Madden coming in 5th.

Saturday night in a field of 31 cars at NAPA Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio), Shane locked his spot into the finale with a 5th place finish in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Clanton jumped up two spots in the 50-lap affair reeling in a 13th place outing.

1June 9, 2018 - After bad weather pushed back Thursday’s opener to Friday, Shane Clanton was one of 78 Super Late Models signed in at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday kicking off the 24th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. Passing two cars in his heat race, Clanton edged his way into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature wit the 5th and final transfer spot. Starting in 18th, Shane improved 12 spots in the 25-lap affair to place 6th.
