August 25, 2018 - On Saturday evening Shane Clanton visited Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) competing in a field of 29 Ultimate Southeast Series entries. Laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Clanton earned the pole position for the A-Main. Leading flag-to-flag, Shane Clanton cruised his third win of the season topping Ashton Winger, Zack Mitchell, Michael Page, and Zach Leonhardi at the line. August 19, 2018 - Thursday night brought 25 World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series entries to Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Delaware) for the Fulton Bank 40. Gaining three spots in his heat, Clanton recorded a 7th place finish earning him the 12th-starting position for the opening night feature. Breaking into the Top-10, Shane jumped up two spots to place 10th.
With weather washing out Friday’s program at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania), Clanton followed the World of Outlaws to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pennsylvania) on Saturday night for the $10,000 top prize. In a field of 36 cars, Shane laid down the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 3rd in his heat. On Sunday night Shane stopped at Eriez Speedway (Erie, Pennsylvania) competing in a field of 36 World of Outlaws entries. Holding his spot in his 10-lap heat, Clanton scored a 2nd place finish behind Chase Junghans positioning him 8th on the starting grid for the finale. With $10,000 on the line, Shane got involved in a tangle on the second lap that ended his night early.

August 4, 2018 - Shane Clanton returned with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on Monday night at Plymouth Dirt Track (Plymouth, Wisconsin) competing in a field of 36 Super Late Models. Holding his spot in his 10-lap heat, Clanton scored a runner-up finish behind Brandon Sheppard locking him into the 8th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Shane suffered a broken torque arm on the fourth lap that ended his night early.
The following night at Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin) for the Sun Drop Shootout, Shane timed in ninth fastest overall in qualifying before gaining one spot in his heat to place 2nd behind Jonathan Davenport. Earning the 4th-starting position for the main event, Shane jumped up two spots in the 50-lapper reeling in a 2nd place finish behind Chris Madden with Jonathan Davenport, Don O’Neal, and Devin Moran completing the Top-5 finishers.
Thursday night brought 45 World of Outlaws entries to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for the 31st annual USA Nationals weekend. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Clanton scored a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Jonathan Davenport positioning him 8th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Falling shy of a Top-10 finish, Shane slipped back to a 14th place outing in the 40-lap affair.
Returning on Friday night for two rounds of heat races, Shane dropped two spots in his first heat to place 5th. Starting his second heat in 7th, Clanton jumped up two spots in the 12-lapper logging a 5th place finish. Rolling off 6th, Clanton reeled in a 2nd place finish behind Tyler Bruening locking him into the 19th-starting position for the $50,000-to-win finale. Bringing out a caution on lap-19, Shane Clanton droppepd back to a 25th place outing in the 100-lapper.
