1After persistent rain in the area cancelled Wednesday’s and Thursday’s nights program,  Shane was one of 48 cars signed in at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) on Friday for the final two World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned events. Laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Shane went on to capture a heat race win from the pole position. Receiving the 2nd-starting position for the feature after the redraw, Clanton jumped out into the lead on the drop of the green flag. Battling through dense fog in the early laps of the A-Main, Shane held the top spot until the lap 23 when race officials made the decision to end the race due to the limited vision. Scoring his first victory of the season and a $10,000 payday, Eric Wells, Tim McCreadie, Rick Eckert, and Brian Shirley completed the Top 5 finishers in the weather-shortened main event.

1Closing out the World of Outlaws DIRTcar Nationals on Saturday, Clanton secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win finale with a 2nd place finish in his heat race behind Dennis Erb Jr. With 40-laps to gain some ground, Shane dropped back to a 13th place outing. His performance on Saturday night was good enough to clinch the 46th annual DIRTcar Nationals championship.

Shane is currently tied for the ninth in the World of Outlaws point standings. Full results are available at www.DIRTcarUMP.com and www.WoOLMS.com.
