1April 29th, 2017 - On Saturday night Shane Clanton was one of 36 Super Late Models signed in at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the Southern All Stars Series sanctioned Rockin’ with the Stars 50. Starting the night off with a heat race win, Shane earned the pole position for the A-Main. With $7,500 on the line, Clanton dropped three spots in the 50-lapper notching a 4th place finish behind Brandon Sheppard, Chris Madden, and Tim McCreadie with Eric Wells coming in 5th. 1April 22nd, 2017 - Shane Clanton didn’t just win Saturday night’s ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series event at Senoia Raceway. He decimated the field in his Weldbank Energy #25 Super K Express/ Capital Race Car/ Penske Shocks/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model as he took the checkered flag by almost nine seconds over his closest competitor. "We built a new Capital Race Car this week in two days, and it proved tonight how good we are," said Clanton, who credited his crew and a change to Penske Shocks for his performance. “Marshall [Green] and everybody at Capital Race Cars has been busting their tails to help us get back to Victory Lane. We’ve made some changes within our program as well the past few weeks and we are seeing immediate results.”

Clanton made the short trip to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Saturday night to compete in the $4,000-to-win, ULTIMATE Southeast Series Super Late Model Series event. With 33 entries on hand, Shane earned the 3rd-starting spot for the feature event, and by lap 2 he had taken control of the lead. Once out front he drove away from the field to claim the victory by 8.734 seconds at the 3/8-mile oval. Zach Leonhardi, Casey Roberts, Michael Page, and Jason Welshan completed the Top-5 finishers.

1April 11th, 2017 - Shane Clanton and the Weldbank Energy Team are excited to welcome Penske Shocks onboard for the 2017 season.

“After long consideration and evaluation, we’ve decided to change our brand of shocks to Penske,” noted Clanton on Tuesday morning. “They have a really great product, and I couldn’t be more excited about our new partnership.”

1April 8th, 2017 - On Saturday night Shane Clanton made the short trip to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Dixie Short Track Spring Championship. Laying down the fastest time overall in a field of 16 Super Late Models, Clanton earned the pole position for the main event. Leading all 40-laps, Shane Clanton cruised to his third victory of the season over Derek Ellis, Jake Knowles, Jason Croft, and Aaron Ridley. Clanton pocketed a $3,000 payday for his dominant performance in the feature.

1April 2nd, 2017 - Following the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series to Farmer City Speedway (Farmer City, Illinois), Shane Clanton was one of 41 Super Late Models signed in on Saturday night for the two-day Illini 100. After laying down the fastest time in his group, Clanton charged to a 10-lap heat race victory positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Hanging on to his starting spot for all 75-laps, Shane registered a 7th place finish.
