1May 29th, 2016 - Returning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO), Shane Clanton headed to Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) on Friday night. Drawing thirty-five Super Late Models, Shane cruised to heat race win earning him the pole position starting spot for the feature. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Clanton soared to his second straight victory of the season and sixth overall. 1The following night brought the WoO followers to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) for the two-day Jackpot 100. In a field of thirty-three cars, Clanton posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Josh Richards. Starting in 5th foro the feature, Shane gained one spot in the 40-lap A-Main notching a 4th place finish behind Josh Richards, Steve Casebolt, and Derrick Doll with Robbie Scott coming in 5th.

Wrapping up the three-day stint in the WoO Series, Clanton edged his way into the $10,000-to-win feature on Sunday night with a 4th place outing in his heat. Coming from the 7th row, Shane streaked through the field twelve positions landing a runner-up finish behind Tim Dohm with Morgan Bagley, Devin Moran, and Chub Frank trailing them to the checkers.

1May 14th, 2016 - Running in the second annual Billy Clanton Classic, Shane Clanton made the trip to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Saturday night for the Southern All Star Series special honoring his late father. Timing in seventh in a field of twenty-six cars, Clanton earned a 4th row inside starting spot for the main event. Battling for a $5,025 paycheck in the A-Main, Shane made the pass for the lead with 10-laps remaining going on to score his second straight victory and fifth overall of the season. 1May 7th, 2016 - Piloting his Capital Race Cars #25 Super Late Model, Shane Clanton visited Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Kentucky) on Friday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO) event. Drawing twenty-nine cars for the Kentucky Klassic, Clanton scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Dustin Linville earning him a front row starting spot for the feature starting alongside Gregg Satterlee. Jumping to the lead on the drop of the green flag, Shane led all 50-laps picking up his fourth win of the season with Chris Madden, Gregg Satterlee, Eric Wells, and Don O'Neal trailing to across the finish line.

1On Saturday night Clanton headed to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for the Mountain Outlaw 50. With forty-five Super Late Models signed in, Shane transferred into the B-Main after coming up short of a transfer spot in his heat. Failing to secure his spot in his consolation event, Clanton was granted a provisional into the $10,000-to-win show. Starting in 23rd, Shane Clanton improved seven spots in the 50-lapper recording a 16th place finish.
