June 25th, 2016 - Drawing twenty-seven Super Late Models for the weekly show, Shane Clanton traveled to Weedsport Speedway (Weedsport, New York) on Tuesday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series event. Placing 2nd in his heat race behind Rick Eckert, Shane earned a 6th place starting spot for the Finger Lakes 40 A-Main. Working his way into a podium finish, Clanton landed a runner-up spot behind Josh Richards with Frank Heckenast Jr., Brandon Overton, and Rick Eckert trailing them to the checkers.
After the weather postponed Thursday’s night show, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series resumed on Friday for the opening night of the 10th Annual Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania). Following the 6th fastest time in his group of twenty-five in qualifying, Shane suffered mechanical issues while leading his heat race forcing him to pull off. Failing to hit a transfer spot in his B-Main, Clanton was granted a provisional into the $6,000-to-win feature. Advancing nine positions in the 30-lap A-Main, Shane Clanton registered a 16th place finish.
On Saturday afternoon Clanton came up two positions short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 6th place outing. Sending the top four into the show, Shane notched a runner-up finish behind Frank Heckenast Jr. earning him a 20th place starting spot for the feature. Earning a 6th place starting spot for his heat later Saturday night, Shane Clanton placed 4th edging his way into the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100. Working his way into the top ten, Clanton passed five cars into the 100-lap affair reeling in a 8th place finish.

June 11th, 2016 - Competing in the 22nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream, Shane Clanton made the trek to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday for three-day UMP DIRTcar sanctioned event. After posting the 5th fastest time in a stacked field of seventy-two cars, Clanton made contact with the wall on the first lap of his heat sending him into the B-Main. Coming from the last row of the consolation event, Shane advanced through the field thirteen spots to secure his spot into one of the opening nights A-Main's. Earning a 22nd place starting spot, Shane Clanton improved eight positions in the 25-lapper recording a 14th place outing.
After running into some troubles in his qualifying session on Friday night, Clanton had the car dialed in in his heat race gaining four positions to secure his spot into the 25-lap preliminary feature. Starting in 16th, Shane improved eight positions landing a 9th place finish.
For the final night of action at Saturday, Shane was slated to start 4th in his heat race. Transferring the top three into the 22nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream, Clanton captured a runner-up finish behind Mike Marlar setting him up with a 12th place starting position for the feature. With 100-laps to gain some ground, Shane broke his way into the top ten posting an 8th place finish in the $100,000-to-win finale.
