1October 27th, 2017 - Shane Clanton made the short trip to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Friday night competing in the Showdown Shootout. Reeling in a podium finish in the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Shane notched a 2nd place finish behind Michael Page with Donald McIntosh, Bubba Pollard, and Riley Hickman completing the Top 5 finishers.

Mother Nature wiped out Saturday's Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned program.

1October 21st, 2017 - Saturday night found Shane Clanton in action at Modoc Raceway (Modoc, South Carolina) for the ULTIMATE Southeast Series sanctioned contest. With 23 Super Late Models on hand for the Clark’s Hill Classic, Clanton timed in 13th fastest in qualifying positioning him on the 6th row for the feature. 1October 13th, 2017 - On Friday night Shane Clanton headed to the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway (Joliet, Illinois) for a pair of World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned events. Drawing 31 Super Late Models for the two-day Chi-Town Showdown, Clanton secured his spot into the opening night feature with a heat race victory. 1October 1st, 2017 - Running with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Shane Clanton made the short trip to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday evening for the Dixie Shootout. Sending the Top 4 out of the heat and into the opening night $12,000-to-win feature, Shane edged his spot with a 4th place finish. 1The following night with 41 cars signed in at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the Rome Showdown, Shane landed a 3rd place finish in his heat positioning him 11th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Falling short of a Top 10 finish, Clanton slipped back to a 23rd place outing in the 60-lap affair.
