1March 26th, 2017 - Behind the wheel of the Weldbank Energy #25 Super Late Model, Shane Clanton traveled to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Friday evening for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned contest. In a field of 45 cars, Clanton logged a 9th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3, Shane fell short with a 4th place outing forcing him to use a provisional into the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Starting in 23rd, Clanton held his spot for all 50-laps recording a 23rd place outing.

After persistent rain in the area cancelled Saturday’s WoO show at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas), Shane headed to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Sunday. Following the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group, Clanton locked his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Timothy Culp. With $8,000 on the line, Shane slipped back to a 14th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

Shane sits in eleventh in the World of Outlaws point standings. Full results are available at www.WoOLMS.com.
