1July 29th, 2017 - Shane Clanton was back with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on Wednesday night at Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) competing in a field of 28 cars. After laying down the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Clanton secured his spot into the $8,000-to-win feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Brandon Sheppard. Earning the pole position for the A-Main after the redraw, Shane dropped three positions to place 4th behind Brandon Sheppard, Chris Madden, and Rick Eckert with Timothy Culp coming in 5th.

1Following an off day on Thursday, Clanton headed to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) on Friday for the two-day event. Drawing 65 Super Late Models for the 28th annual Prairie Dirt Classic, Shane secured his spot into the opening night preliminary feature with the 3rd-fastest time in his qualifying group. Starting in 2nd, Clanton topped the 16-car field in the 20-lap feature capturing his eighth win of the season and a $2,500 payday. Ryan Unzicker, Brian Shirley, Dennis Erb Jr., and Cody Mahoney completed the Top 5 finishers.

On Saturday night with his spot already secured into the $30,000-to-win finale, Clanton slipped up six spots in the 100-lap affair registering a 8th place finish.

1July 20th, 2017 - Debuting in the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series, Shane Clanton visited Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Thursday evening for the $3,500 top prize. In a field of 37 Super Late Models, Clanton timed in second fastest in his qualifying group locking him into the 4th-starting position for the feature. 1July 14th, 2017 - Back in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Shane Clanton was one 27 Super Late Models signed in at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) on Wednesday night for the $8,000 top prize. Following the second fastest time overall in qualifying behind Chris Madden, Clanton went on to place 2nd in his heat behind Chad Simpson locking him into the 3rd-starting position for the feature. Hanging on to a Top 5 finish, Shane slipped up two spots to place 5th behind Chris Madden, Brandon Sheppard, Chad Simpson, and Rick Eckert.

The following night with 33 Super Late Models on hand at Hibbing Raceway (Hibbing, Minnesota), Shane edged his way into the $8,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 13th for the feature, Clanton charged through the field nine spots reeling in a 4th place finish behind Brandon Sheppard, Chub Frank, and Mike Marlar with Tyler Erb coming in 5th.  

1Friday night brought 33 cars to River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota) for the Acme Tools 50. After timing in third fastest overall, Clanton cruised to a 10-lap heat race victory positioning him on the pole for the feature. Surviving a late-race caution, Shane Clanton held off Tyler Erb to pick up his seventh win of the season and a $10,000 payday topping Erb, Brandon Sheppard, Mike Marlar, and Eric Wells at the finish line. 1July 8th, 2017 - Kicking off the northern swing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Shane Clanton made the trek to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Saturday night for the Bigelow Homes Gopher 50. With 36 Super Late Models registered in for battle, Clanton secured his spot into the feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Shane fell six spots in the 50-lapper to place 16th.

1July 1st, 2017 - Shane Clanton returned with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on Wednesday night for the FVP Outlaw Clay Classic at Dirt Oval Route 66 Raceway (Joliet, Illinois). In a field of 26 Super Late Models, Clanton locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a runner-up finish behind Brandon Sheppard in his heat race. Slated to start 6th for the A-Main, severe weather started to roll in as the Late Model feature began to take the track forcing race officials to postpone the event to October 13th.

1With Mother Nature cancelling the opening night of clash between the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series and the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour on Friday at Terra Haute Action Track (Terra Haute, Indiana), Clanton returned to action on Saturday at Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) for the $10,000 top prize. Following the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group, Shane edged his way into the A-Main with the 4th and final transfer spot into his heat race.
