1July 30th, 2016 - Returning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Shane Clanton visited Quincy Raceway (Quincy, Illinois) on Thursday night for the Workforce 40. Following a runner-up finish in his heat behind Bobby Pierce, Clanton earned the pole position starting spot for the feature. After losing the lead early, Shane outdueled Brian Shirley to pick up his eighth win of the season with Rick Eckert, Shirley, Bobby Pierce, and Steve Casebolt rounding out the Top 5. 1Friday night brought the WoO followers to Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois) for the two-day 27th Annual Prairie Dirt Classic. After failing to make it out for qualifying due to mechanical issues, Shane stormed from the tail of the field to capture a heat race win. Earning the 9th-starting spot for the unsanctioned FALS Draw on Friday night, Clanton fell three positions in the 25-lapper posting a 12th place finish.

With his heat race win Friday, Shane rolled off the grid from the 5th-starting position for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned $27,000-to-win feature on Saturday night. Moving into a battle for the lead by lap 50, Clanton held on to a podium finish in the 100-lapper notching a 3rd place finish behind Josh Richards and Dennis Erb Jr. with Don O’Neal and Shannon Babb rounding out the Top 5.

1July 23rd, 2016 - On Friday night Shane Clanton traveled to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) for the two-day Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Silver Dollar Nationals. Competing in two rounds of heat action in a field of fifty-eight cars, Clanton scored a runner-up finish behind Jimmy Owens in his first heat. Storming to a heat race win the second time around, Shane was slated to start 3rd for the $40,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night. After falling out of the top ten, Clanton pulled off on lap 18 while being credited with a 33rd place finish.

1July 13th, 2016 - Back in the Gopher State, Shane Clanton headed to Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) on Wednesday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO) sanctioned program. After timing in near the tail of the twenty-nine car field, Shane worked his way up to a 3rd place finish in his heat earning him a 9th place starting spot for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Wheeling his way into a podium finish, Clanton improved seven positions in the 50-lapper notching a runner-up finish behind Josh Richards with Steve Casebolt, Eric Wells, and Brandon Overton rounding out the top five.

1July 9th, 2016 - Following the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series as it heads north to the Hawkeye State, Shane Clanton was one of twenty-five entries signed in at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) on Thursday night. Following up the 2nd fastest time in qualifying with a 10-lap heat race victory, Shane earned a 5th place starting spot for the $8,000-to-win A-Main. Hanging on to a top ten finish in the 40-lapper, Clanton dropped five positions posting a 10th place finish.

1Friday night brought the WoO series to Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) where Shane timed in 4th fastest out of twenty-four cars. Placing 2nd in his heat behind Chris Simpson, Clanton was slated to start on high-side of the front row for the feature next to Rick Eckert. Jumping out to the lead on the very first lap, Shane Clanton led from flag-to-flag soaring to his 7th win of the season over Josh Richards, Chris Simpson, Rick Eckert, and Billy Moyer Jr. Clanton pocketed a $10,000 payday for his triumph in the 50-lap Wild West Tour A-Main. Wrapping up the three-day stint with the WoO series, Shane visited Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) where Clanton found himself in a podium spot at the end of the night. Registering a runner-up finish in his heat behind Eric Wells, Shane Clanton improved four positions in the main event posting a 2nd place finish behind Josh Richards with Rick Eckert, Chad Simpson, and Jimmy Mars rounding out the top five.

1July 4th, 2016 - Making the trip north, Shane Clanton headed to Rockford Speedway (Rockford, Illinois) on Thursday night for the inaugural Outlaw Clay Classic. With thirty-four Super Late Models signed in for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned event, Clanton timed in 4th fastest in his group of seventeen cars setting him up with a front-row starting spot for his heat. Holding his position for all 10-laps, Shane notched a runner-up finish behind Brian Shirley earning him a 3rd place starting spot for the feature. Hanging on to his starting position again for all 30-laps, Shane Clanton registered a 3rd place finish behind Brian Shirley and Tyler Erb with Joey Coulter and Chub Frank trailing them to the checkers.

1On Friday night Clanton stopped at Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) for the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals event. In a field of thirty-eight cars for the 11th stop of Hell Tour, Clanton edged his way into the feature with a 4th place outing in his heat. Losing two positions in the 50-lap A-Main, Clanton registered an 18th place outing.

With the two World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series events getting rained out, Shane returned to action on Monday night at La Salle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois) for another round of the Hell Tour. Sending the top five out of the heats, Clanton posted a 3rd place finish setting him up with an 8th place starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping out of the top ten, Shane Clanton fell back to a 18th place finish.
