1April 30th, 2016 - Shane Clanton returned with World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on Friday night traveling to Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina). After posting the 3rd fastest qualifying time in his group, Shane scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Johnny Pursley. Earning a 6th place starting spot for the feature after the redraw, Clanton gained one position in the 50-lapper finishing 5th behind Josh Richards, Chub Frank, Rick Eckert and Frank Heckenast Jr.

On Saturday Shane visited Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina) for another $10,000-to-win A-Main. Scoring a 4th place finish in his heat, Clanton secured his spot into the main event. Starting in 12th, Shane Clanton gained three spots reeling in a 9th place outing.

1April 24th, 2016 - On Saturday night Shane Clanton headed to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) for the Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals event. Competing in a field of twenty-five cars, Clanton captured a heat race win securing his spot into the $6,000-to-win feature. Exchanging the lead back-and-forth with Chis Madden, Shane captured a runner-up finish behind Madden with Tyler Millwood, Brandon Overton, and Donald McIntosh trailing them to the checkers. 1The following night brought Shane to Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series sanctioned event. With qualifying determining your starting position for the feature, Shane posted the 5th fastest time earning him a 3rd row starting spot for the feature. Gaining three spots in the 40-lapper, Clanton reeled in another runner-up finish behind Chris Madden with Brandon Overton, Mike Marlar, and Casey Roberts rounding out the top five.

1April 9th, 2016 - Following the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoO), Shane Clanton visited Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) on Friday night. With thirty-three cars signed in, Clanton posted the fastest time in qualifying. Cruising to a heat race victory, Shane was slated to start 7th for the feature after the redraw. With $10,000 on the line, Shane Clanton gained three spots in the 50-lap affair notching a 4th place finish behind Dale McDowell, Darrell Lanigan, and Josh Richards with Brian Shirley coming in 5th.

1With WoO show getting rained out at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee) on Saturday night, Clanton made the last minute decision to visit Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) for the weekly show. Trying to weave his way through traffic to catch up to the leader in the A-Main, Shane came up one spot short scoring a runner-up finish behind Brandon Overton with Chase Junghans, Clint Smith, and Joe Armistead Jr. rounding out the top five.

1April 3rd, 2016 - Returning with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, Shane Clanton made the trek to Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) on Saturday for the two-day Douglas Dodge Ram Trucks Illini 100. Competing in a field of forty-eight cars, Clanton scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Brandon Overton earning him a 12th place starting spot for the feature. Battling for a $6,000 payday in the opening night event, Shane improved six positions reeling in a 6th place finish.

1On Sunday afternoon with the heats transferring the top four into the main event, Clanton captured  a heat race win giving him a 8th place starting position A-Main after the redraw.
