February 22nd, 2014 - The 43rd Annual DIRTCar Nationals welcomed the World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series for action on Thursday night.

The main event boasted a $10,000 prize and forty-five entries were signed in for competition. Shane failed to make the transfer into the main event via heat race action, but a second place finish in the b-main locked him into a 19th place starting spot for the feature. During the course of the 50 lap feature, Clanton drove by nine other competitors en route to a tenth place finish.

The 43rd Annual DIRTCar Nationals came to a close on Saturday night; thirty-five competitors registered for the $10,000-to-win finale. In preliminary race action, Shane finished third in his heat, earning him a ninth place starting spot for the main event. Clanton slowly faded back over the course of the 50 lap feature before crossing the finish line in 18th.

February 19th, 2014 - Shane Clanton opened the Super Late Model portion of the UMP DIRTCar Nationals on Monday night at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida.

Forty competitors were registered for the $7,000-to-win event, Shane set the fastest time in his group and went on to win his heat race, locking him into the third starting spot for the main event. During the course of the 30 lap feature, Clanton raced inside the top five before crossing the finish line in the fifth position.

Tuesday night was Round #2 of the week long DIRTCar Nationals, and Shane qualified second in his respective group. Clanton finished second in his heat race, earning him a seventh place starting spot in the $7,000-to-win feature event. Shane drove his way to a fourth place finish during the 30 lap feature behind race winner Kenny PettyJohn, Brady Smith, and Brandon Sheppard. Scott Bloomquist rounded out the top five.

Wednesday night's event saw forty-two competitors signed in for the $10,000-to-feature. Shane finished third in his heat race which locked him into a 12th place starting spot in the main event. During the course of the 40 lap feature, Clanton slowly faded back before eventually pulling off to save equipment, he was credited with a 24th place finish.

February 16th, 2014 - Shane Clanton kicked off the 2014 World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model season at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on Friday night.

Shane posted the tenth quickest lap overall during time trials among the 27 entries and went on to finish fourth in his heat race, locking him into a tenth place starting spot for the $7,000-to-win main event. During the course of the 35-lap feature, Clanton drove by four competitors en route to a sixth place finish.

Round #2 of the Winter Nationals on Saturday night saw Shane qualify sixth among a modest 27 entrants and later go on to take the win in his heat race. Clanton stayed within the top five early on in the 50 lapper before disaster struck when he lost control of his #25 machine on lap 14, drawing a caution. Shane was able to continue from the tail of the field and drove his way back up to 14th place finish.

The WoO opening weekend came to a close on Sunday evening with the $12,000-to-win finale at Bubba Raceway Park. Shane qualified fourth in Group A during time trials, but late suffered some bad luck during his heat race when he broke a drive shaft. The Zebulon, Georgia driver was forced to take a provisional starting spot in the 60 lap feature event. During the course of the feature, Clanton roared from his 23rd starting spot, advancing 14 positions to a solid ninth place finish.

February 4th, 2014 - Shane Clanton is busily preparing to open the 2014 World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model season in his #25 Weldbank Energy/Capital Race Car/Clements Race Engine entry, and he wants your help in determining, which graphic's scheme to run.

During the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme in Tucson in early January Shane ran both a white car and a black car, and he wants to know which one the fans want to see most.  A poll is open for voting on his Facebook Fan Page at www.facebook.com/pages/Shane-Clanton/187551497449 so please visit the page and cast your vote.  The poll will close at the end of this week.
